Tradition suggests that August is a slow month in the property market, with kids off school and family holidays booked causing a general stall in the property market until September. Much like our report this time last year I am pleased to be reporting that we have had another successful August with progress made on many factors. The strong market is encouraging people to entertain the idea of a move; we see this by 13% more valuations being undertaken by Barons in August 2015 compared to August 2014. We sold 6% more property in Basingstoke & surrounding villages in August 2015 compared to June 2015 and had instructions to sell over 45% new property – a vast increase which shows positivity for buyers struggling to find in the area.
Property prices are still on the increase in Basingstoke, in some instances we are achieving astonishing prices, with increases in value as much as 45% compared to similar sold properties in 2012. – nobody can predict how long this will last, but with these fantastic figures being achieved why not invite Barons to value your property and negotiate you the best possible price?
If you are looking for your dream home or achieving the best possible price for your property contact Barons Estate agents – established in 1988.
