About

Kempshott is a residential area situated on the western outskirts of Basingstoke Town Centre, largely built between the 1970’s and early 1980’s. Widely regarded as one of the best places to live in town, it offers all that is needed for family life. As of 2011 the population was estimated to be 6827. Kempshott can roughly be divided into four regions, these being ‘The Birds’, ‘The Lakes’, ‘The Flowers’ and the latest addition ‘Gabriel Park’. All of these developments have been positioned off Homesteads Road, Pack Lane and Kempshott Lane. Kempshott is approximately 3.5 miles from Basingstoke Town Centre, making this an ideal location for amenities and commuting.

Buckingham Parade in Kempshott provides a number of conveniences, including a Tesco Express, a hair salon, a Fish & Chip shop/Chinese and a pub call The Kestrel. Further shopping facilities are conveniently located at both the Hatch Warren and Brighton Hill retail parks, along with all of what the Town Centre offers approximately 3.5 miles away.

Family Fun

There are various play parks dotted around the residential areas of Kempshott. Basingstoke Town Centre is approximately 3.5 miles away and provides a shopping centre and cinema. Slightly further afield is the Leisure Park where families can enjoy swimming, ice skating, bowling, fast food and another cinema. The village of Oakley can easily be accessed and provides a great rural retreat with local pubs, walks and sporting facilities.

Travel Links

Kempshott is situated on the West of Basingstoke and provides access to the M3 which provides a direct link to London and the South Coast.  There are regular bus routes servicing Kempshott and the mainline train line is approximately 3.5 miles away which allows access to London Waterloo in approximately 45 minutes. Oakley and Overton are easily accessed via the B3400.
