North Waltham & Dummer are both picturesque villages situated on the western fringes of Basingstoke. The villages allow both easy access to Basingstoke and the historic city of Winchester along with stunning rural scenery. Basingstoke is approximately 6 miles away and Winchester 12 miles away. Architecturally both villages offer attractive buildings including picture perfect thatched cottages, churches and some more modern developments on the outskirts of North Waltham. There are a number of amenities available in both locations, these include local pubs, shops, schools and even a well-regarded golf course in Dummer. Both villages have small populations, as of the 2011 census of Dummer had 466 residents and North Waltham 840.

Both villages have a few amenities to service the community. North Waltham offers a convenience store and two well regarded public houses. Dummer provides a pub and easy to Dummer Golf Club which also has a restaurant. Dummer is also host to the popular Dummer Cricket Centre which provides fantastic facilities for anything cricket related, including training, practice nets and an extensive supply of equipment. Extensive facilities can be found in Basingstoke, this includes Festival Place, the mainline train line and a vast array for bars, restaurants and eateries.

Both villages provide all that is needed for a quintessential village life, including fantastic rural walks, woodland parks and a number of eateries. The cricket centre is ideal for anyone that is a keen cricketer and the golf course also provides a driving range. For the keen gardener there is the a Wyevale garden centre. Basingstoke Town Centre is approximately 3 miles away and provides a shopping centre and cinema. Slightly further afield is the Leisure Park where families can enjoy swimming, ice skating, bowling, fast food and another cinema.
North Waltham & Dummer are situated on the West of Basingstoke and provides good access to the A30 which runs to Winchester. The M3 is easily accessible and provides direct access to London, Winchester and the South Coast. There are regular bus routes servicing both villages and the mainline train line is approximately 6 miles in Basingstoke, which allows access to London Waterloo in approximately 45 minutes.
