We hope you have all enjoyed the recent bank holidays and the upturn in the great British weather. We have enjoyed a great sales month in April with property sales of over £8,000,000 agreed and with property ranging from £159,000 to £990,000 being sold. Another pleasing aspect has been the return of more first time buyers and hopefully this has been helped by the benefit of no stamp duty up to £300,000.
Although prices have slipped back from the heights of 2016 and 2017, this is all relative and with continued low mortgage rates, we firmly believe that the market will stay busy for the rest of the year.
Locally it now looks like Basingstoke Golf course development is happening with the possible addition of 1100 new homes – the coming months will be interesting.
We have also just confirmed our sponsorship of the Old Basing Infant School Summer fair on the 7th July, so please get along and support a good cause.
